Highgate
In collaboration with King & Co, the client’s architect, this new build property was designed and built to very exacting requirements. The external, whilst maintaining its traditional art and crafts brick façade, hides a more contemporary glazed rear elevation this in turn maximizes the light pulling and entering the building.
The four-storey house consists of 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and incorporates a basement that matches the footprint for the other floors. The house was designed to have a very organic flow with rooms opening through onto others allowing for a very open interactive living environment with an abundance of storage space to meet the demands of a growing family.
The client wanted a classic contemporary look, with a focus on built in joinery and decorative lighting. The main living and entertainment areas were kept elegantly neutral, incorporating layered textures and a mix of furniture styles to add interest whilst the children’s bedrooms were given there own distinct personalities through the use of colour and pattern.
AV technology was blended seamlessly throughout the property whilst, the incorporation of a wine cellar, swimming pool, gym, media/home cinema room ensured that all the clients requirements were catered for allowing for a flawless bespoke design.
